Our Leadership and Team Development Cohorts are usually 4-6 months in length and are supported by individual reinforcement coaching and on-line resources and tools.

Many set their expectations for leader and team development by viewing the time invested as “adding another tool to the toolbelt”.  This type of perspective is called “Horizontal Development”, where an individual adds a new skill to an already existing knowledge base to build more expert capability in that area.  Horizontal development is what most traditional training efforts deliver, and we certainly agree that this approach is appropriate to develop deeper technical expertise.   We also know that when organizations are pursuing transformational change and looking to accelerate mission critical initiatives, a higher order of breakthrough leadership is required.  To meet this more sophisticated requirement, we incorporate “Vertical Development”, where leaders and teams are guided to “jump up” to an entirely new level of seeing, thinking, feeling and doing.  They experience deep personal change and growth, and are then able to more powerfully lead and sustain transformational change in their organization.
