THE STORY IN OUR LOGO

If you have ever created a logo, you will recognize the thinking and work that goes into it, and the balance you desire to strike… to tell a story which is simple enough to attract a look, and profound enough to invite deeper thinking and appreciation.

At the heart of the JPorcari & Associates logo is a silver trinity mobius- an interconnected symbol which has no beginning and end, and which operates in one seamless flow.  In our deep experience in the field of Human Performance and Organization Change, we recognize that the 3 drivers of Leadership, Teams, and Culture must be working together in an intentional and integrated way.  When this happens, the organization can then achieve an accelerated flywheel effect – represented by the blue circle in motion- which will then lead to high impact and sustainable results.

How one chooses to “show up” each day as a leader impacts the overall culture and success of an organization.  While there are specific situations where a highly directive style of leadership is appropriate (e.g., a crisis which requires an immediate expert response, or a moral or ethical violation which must be dealt with on the spot), many organizational challenges, missteps and outright failures can often be attributed to an overuse of what is often referred to as a hierarchical “command and control” chosen style of leadership.

The challenges organizations face today are far too complicated to be addressed primarily by this traditional command and control approach.  A more dynamic and effective leadership style invites and encourages others to willingly collaborate to achieve a common greater good- one which requires all to exert discretionary effort to own and work together in an engaged and fluid way.  We call this “Servant Leadership”.  It is an increasing attractive way of leading that is central to all that we do to bring impact to the organizations we partner with.
